School Pride Scholarship Essay

I miss writing. I think I'll get back on the ball about this.
Anyway, essay for a scholarship.

I am a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, New York. I am a first year Game Design and Development Major, and I completely and utterly love it here.
First off, RIT is a pretty famous school. People come from around the world to attend, and it's also home to the largest Deaf technical college in the world. Suffice to say it's a large scale university. And yet, even with thousands of people on campus every day, I feel like I belong, not like I'm just another cog in a machine. The people are friendly, the campus is lively, the weather is admittedly bad, but I'm willing to take that tradeoff. This is just the best experience I've ever had with any educational system, especially when it comes to everyone related to my Game Design major. It's a rather selective program, only letting 30 people in each year until my class when it was quadrupled to 120, so the professors all work in with small, personal classrooms where each student gets individual attention. Not to mention it's a degree for learning to freaking make video games! Yes, there are other colleges that offer Game Design degrees, but not only is RIT nearby, which is a big bonus, but it also has one of the best degrees for Game Design. Honestly, when I was considering my choices for college, there was just no contest. It was either go to RIT, or... well, I'm not sure. I had my heart dead set on RIT, I worked hard through highschool, and I made it here! If I hadn't, then I'm really not sure what I would have done. Luckily, that never became an issue, and now I'm here and happy. I wouldn't trade RIT for anywhere in the entire country. This college is where I fit in, and for the next three years I intend to call it home.
